The short version
Pet8 has no accounts, no sign-in and no personal data collection. You can use it without telling us who you are.
Photos you take
Photos of ingredient panels are used in your browser to read the label. In this version they are not uploaded to a server and are not stored after you leave the screen.
Usage analytics
We use Umami, a privacy-focused analytics tool, to count page views and see which products people look at most. It does not use cookies, does not track you across other websites, and does not collect information that identifies you. That's why you don't see a cookie banner here.
What we store
The cat food products shown in the app are stored in our database. They are public reference data about products, not about people. Scans may be counted in aggregate so we know which foods are looked up often.
If this changes
If we ever add accounts, saved history, or anything that collects personal data, we will update this page before that feature ships and explain plainly what is collected, why, and how to delete it. Any feature that needs consent will ask for it rather than assume it.
